This bird is going into his 4th year and I haven't been able to get him out in the field for multiple reasons (Work schedule, knee replacement surgery, etc). I have worked with him in the yard on flying to the fist, lure training, etc. He is not aggressive and remains fearful when picked up, etc. He is a Paul Hofsommer bird, whose other tiercels fly at 26-28 ounces. His tiercels also have large feet, as does this bird. His fat weight is 29 ounces at present. I was hoping to get him started on late season rabbits, but that is about to end her in Pennsylvania. I thought of trying crows, but that season will also end in the next month. I thought maybe he would be of interest to someone looking for a male for their naturally mating female, although I realize it it late for this breeding season. If I don't find someone interested in him at present, I will keep him until the beginning of the next hunting season this Fall, when I hope to be semi-retired.Email this page to a friend
