Parent raised, wild hacked in Wyoming; always free-lofted; excellent molt; easy to hood; wedded to lure; purchase weight 54 oz (1530 gm), flies best at 46oz (1300 gm); ballooned/kited 1st year to 1500’ - and would go higher - before weaned from balloon; hunted sage grouse twice September 2014 before Guillain-Barre Syndrome paralyzed me; flown short distances to lure since. Now that I am mobile again, hoped beginning this week, could jump start “Bela” and hunt September 1. Wrong! She needs to start low on the balloon again.
